Some catching up to do
I haven’t been keeping up with this blog like I should, I know. Summer is almost over already and I haven’t gotten nearly as much done toward getting ready for some fall craft shows, etc. I’ve been messing around with this venture for a year now, and it’s been slow going. Life keeps getting in the way! I did lessen my workload to free up some more time. I agonized about it for a while, but it turned out to be a good decision. This time of year, though, a lot of my extra time is taken up with harvesting and canning from the garden! Not that I’m complaining because there’s no greater joy than cracking open a jar of garden fresh homemade salsa on a winter day, but still…
On another note, I visited an outdoor craft market the other weekend and got some great ideas! It reaffirmed that I’m definitely on the right track with what I’m doing. Feeling re-energized and refocused. Son, his girlfriend, and daughter have all been brainstorming for me as far as booth design and setup (they’re all brilliant and creative and I’m so fortunate to have their input!). My hope is to get registered for a booth at a local craft fair to be held in October, maybe a couple… who knows if I’ll be ready, though.
My granddaughter shot product photos for me for the website. I tried getting some pictures myself and was failing miserably, but she came over and immediately knew what to do with lighting, etc. – she’s awesome and the pictures came out great. Now to get them loaded into the website, put in product descriptions and content, and I can get that up and going.
So much to do, so little time…it’s frustrating, but I’m having a blast and I’m so excited to see where this all takes me.
